Another First

I'm afraid to report Morgan has experienced another first - her first illness. Daycare called Wednesday, and she was running a 101 fever. She has bronchitis. We had to get a chest x-ray yesterday to make sure it was not pneumonia. Thankfully, her x-ray was fine. But that was an experience, let me tell you. She had to get in this plastic tube with her arms straight up over her head. They made me blow on her so her lungs would expand. She was amazingly calm. Hopefully, she's not scarred. I pray she's feeling better soon. Her poor little cough is so bad! Here are some pre-sickness pictures Matt has been begging me to post. Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. The holiday has taken on new meaning to me as a mother of a young one. Now, we focus entirely too much on The Easter Dress. I was so excited for Morgan to wear her dress though. My lovely Aunt Gay made this dress for Morgan - BY HAND! It took her my entire pregnancy, and it is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. Our Easter plans took a turn this week, when C fell and fractured her hip. So we went to the Delta to keep her company. She's a trooper and doing well. Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes. Forgive me please...

Morgan went on her first girls trip to Marion, AR this weekend. However, mommie left the camera behind in AR. So, for now the blog will have to suffer! It's a shame too, b/c we got some good pictures. And we played in the yard today when we got home. I was so sad I couldn't take baby girl's picture! Who'd a thunk we would wake up to snow yesterday morning, and play in the yard without a coat today???? I've had fun looking at everyone's snow pictures. I have nothing but love for my blogging friends!

First Bite

I finally agreed to give Morgan rice cereal last night. I've been so hesitant, because I don't want my baby girl growing up too fast! I have to say, the entire experience was better than I thought it would be. All of you know me to be a little like "Brie Van de Camp-Hodge" from Desperate Housewives. So I was very nervous about the mess. But we managed to not even get anything on our clothes! Morgan did pretty well. She, of course, had no idea what was going on. But she swallowed some of it! We are going to keep at it this week, and maybe we will even try a vegetable before too long. She continues to amaze us. Enjoy our pics.
