Morgan "Counting"

This is a video of Morgan counting. She loves to pick up her books and read to herself. This book is Counting with Maisy, where you are supposed to count something on each page. You can hear her "uh, uh, uh, uh" on each page then clapping for herself. She's "counting" the things on the page then applauding her success. I think it's just precious. She's still talking Morganese, but she's starting to pick up new words every day. Soon, she'll be counting for real!!!

Birthday Cook Out

We hosted a cook out this weekend to celebrate July birthdays for Matt, Bryce and Travis. We had a great time, and once again I did my best to get a picture of all the kiddies in one shot. And once again, I was not entirely successful. Morgan was the only one not cooperating, seeing how baby Lorin can't crawl yet and Hayes just sits like an angel and poses on que. Mo just doesn't like to be still. Below is the best I could do. Morgan was sweet with baby Lorin and would hand her toys. Morgan and Hayes did their best to share, and they had a great time running around the house.

Doggie Door Trouble

Let me set this up for you. Matt and I are in the kitchen this evening asking each other about the day, and Matt comments "Morgan is being awfully quiet". He goes to check on her, and he says he can't find her. We start looking around the house, and then I hear Matt say "oh my gosh... she's crawled out the doggie door"! Sure enough, we found Morgan outside on our back porch. And just last night, Morgan decided it would be fun to crawl under our bed and get stuck. What is going on with this child?

This picture is Morgan's second attempt to escape through the doggie door. I took the moment to take a picture, THEN scold her. Good parenting, I know. Also, please note that Morgan is attempting to crawl through the door AND eat a cracker at the same time.

I'm on a Boat

We went to visit the Rowe's for the weekend. Lucky for us, the Rowe's treated us to a weekend of fabulous food, golf, lake rides, and plenty of entertainment for Morgan. Morgan was a little skittish for her first time on a boat, but once she relaxed she enjoyed it almost as much as me and Matt did. We had a great time, and can't wait to go back soon for a visit. Here are some of the pictures I managed to capture of our trip. Carter is A LOT faster than Morgan, so catching them both in one frame was just as hard as you can imagine...
