Morgan and Her Daddy

I think this is a precious picture of Matt and Morgan. I know you can't see her face, but she was having a ball. Just wanted to share!

Lovin' Me Some Animals

Morgan went to cousin Rhodes' birthday party Saturday morning. Morgan was in heaven because not only does cousin Rhodes have a sweet dog, he also has a cat and hamster. Morgan was obsessed with the cat at first, but we couldn't get any pictures since the cat was hiding in the bushes. Morgan would crouch down and stare at that cat, then she'd point and say "wshzaaaat". That's her favorite word - we think she's saying "what's that". Then she couldn't get enough of Todd the dog. He even french kissed her, sending Morgan into a giggle fit. Then Aunt Susan brought out the hamster. She kept a distance for a few seconds and then stroked him with her finger. Baby girl loves her some animals!

The Difference of a Year

Over Easter, my grandmother kept remarking how Morgan hasn't really changed that much. She really has kind of kept her same look. I found these two pictures of her in pretty much the same pose and same background. Just a little taller with a little more hair!

Christ the Lord is Risen Today!

Easter has some of my favorite hymns. I was lucky enough to hear 2 of them this morning. Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Alleluia! and Up From the Grave He Arose both offer messages of such joy and love. Our message at church this morning was about the love story found in Easter. Lately, I find myself surrounded by love and don't know what I did to deserve it. I love this little Easter darling below more and more every day. I now feel like I may have an inkling of how much Christ loves us. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

18 month tricks

Our little girl is one and a half! We went for a check up this week, and she's all good. I asked Dr. Smith for her stats, he replied "well.... she's short". He said she's on track to be 5'4" (which is not that short), but he quickly followed that up with "she'll have her pick of the guys - short ones or tall ones". Matt then begged Morgan to wait till she's 30 to date.

Below is a video I took this afternoon. Morgan is OBSESSED with bubbles. I was trying to teach her to blow them herself. She can dip the handle and blow, just not with the right coordination. Notice she's blowing no where near the bubble handle. This was also Mama's first attempt at pigtails - didn't get them quite straight but she's cute no matter what.

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Our church had their Easter egg hunt this morning. Morgan went straight to hunting like she's been hunting Easter eggs all her life. The girl loves organize things, so picking eggs up and putting them in a basket was the ideal game for her. She had a great time, and she gets to go to another hunt tomorrow!
