Morgan is Vocal

Morgan is quite vocal these days. I think she loves to hear her voice and see how loud she can get. It's funny b/c I think she gets so loud it tickles the back of her throat. Maybe she'll try out for American Idol one day!

Big Times in Texas

We had a great weekend with the Solomons this weekend. Morgan was an angel in the car ride (which I was incredibly nervous about), and she showed off all her new tricks for her Aunt Mandi and Uncle Russ. Here are some highlights from the trip:

Baby Girl Gets the Hang of It!

Morgan finally started crawling this week (in the traditional sense). We've captured some of her moves on video. We are so proud! We are going to visit the Solomon's this week, so I'm sure Big Russ will have Mo crawling like a pro in no time. Enjoy!

New developments

This has been a pretty amazing week. Morgan started waving, and I promise she has actually combined bye-bye with waving... once. She won't do it on command of course, but we turn around and see the pageant wave going. She's also learned to smack her lips together, so I'm trying to turn that into blowing kisses. And today, so rolled the ball back to me for the first time!

Still no actual crawling, BUT she did figure out how to sit up on her own this week. Which I think may only delay her crawling even more. And last night, she pulled up for the first time! She's not a pro yet, but she's getting there. All this in one week - crazy! Look at me - I pulled up all by myself!I like to smell and lick the ball before I roll it back to you... deal with it.

It's a baby boy!

Kristen and Reed found out yesterday that they are having a baby boy Trusty! Morgan will have a cousin to look out for her and scare all the boys away! Congratulations guys and thanks for dinner!

This is Morgan's way...

We've been doing everything we know to encourage Morgan to get the hang of crawling. For months, we've been hearing the same thing - "that girl is going to be crawling before you know it". What we've discovered, is that she actually is crawling... just in a more untraditional manner. We captured some of Mo's moves today in the hallway. We're taking suggestions for what to call it. (the light in hallway isn't great, sorry!)

9 Month Birthday and Check Up

Morgan is 9 months old! We went to the doctor today for our check up. Let me brag for a minute. We didn't get shots today, but they did want to prick her finger and draw some blood. As we were headed to the lab, we heard another 9 month old getting his finger pricked. He was NOT happy about it. So I nervously waited for our turn. Baby Mo didn't make a peep. She actually just sat there and stared at the nurse who squeezed blood out of Morgan's finger for what seemed like 5 full minutes. She's such a trooper! We got a clean bill of health and even a new remedy for her eczema. Keep your fingers crossed! Below are her stats and a cute pic.

Weight - 17.11 lbs 30th percentile

Height - 27.75 in 50th percentile

Head - 44.5 cm (didn't get the percentile, but I'm sure it's well above 75th)
