Holding the bottle

Morgan got one thing from her mama - her love of water. I give Morgan a little bottle of water now and then, and we let her practice holding it herself. She's getting pretty good... when she gets it pointed in the right direction. Notice her sucking the wrong end in the second pic!

Surprise Visit

We had a surprise visit yesterday afternoon from Maggie and Banks. Morgan smiled the entire time they were here. She was so entertained by two toddlers running around her house! It was great to visit with everyone, and thanks for coming by! We hope to see you all again soon! This is a random picture of Morgan hanging out in the big bed this morning. For some reason, I think she's so cute in our bed. She looks so tiny!

Daddy's Boat Race

Matt participated in the Dragon Boat Regatta this weekend. Yeah, I have never heard of it either. So Morgan and I went out to support him. I was actually pretty impressed. His team came in second overall, but they won the race that Mo and I watched. That's daddy in the orange shirt up front! You can see in the middle picture how boat #1 is smoking boat #2! Woo hoo!

Blabber mouth

Ok - so this isn't the best video in the world. Morgan started "talking" yesterday. It's mainly blah blah blah's and ya ya ya ya ya's. But an actual word is very close, I can feel it! She's changing so fast these days, it's really amazing. Enjoy the video! Oh yeah, her feet are also quite tasty these days. Big Weekend

We had a big weekend. Morgan had her first slumber party at the Rowe's. We traveled all over the Delta this weekend to visit some friends we have not seen in a while. Our first stop was to see the Englands, then we jetted over to Rowe Manor. Beware, I got picture crazy this weekend so this is a long post.

Here are Carter Rowe and Morgan getting to know each other. See how Morgan is trying to pull Carter's shirt off in the first pic? We are going to have to have a talk with her. In the second, they are studying each other intently.

For dinner Cory made his specialty - steak. We certainly didn't get short changed on portions. I think this rivals the "Ole 96er". I was positive Matt was not going to be able to finish, and guess who proved me wrong? Nothing but fat left on that plate. It was pretty impressive. By the way, Heather did make some lovely side dishes - sweet potatoes and salad. They were just hard to fit on the plate. The kiddies also watched Baby Einstein while we ate.

And here we all are hanging out in our pjs before we had to leave this morning. Thanks for the hospitality Heather, Cory and Cater. We had a blast. Hopefully, we'll be invited back sometime!

Happy Half Year Morgan!

Morgan is officially half of one year old. We just got back from the doc. We have a happy and healthy baby girl. I tried to convince the doc that we have some sort of abnormal skin allergy, but he assures me it's simply infantile eczema. So don't be alarmed when you see massive red marks on Morgan's face in her pics. I promise we are not abusing her! Here are our latest stats:

Height - 25 in, 50th percentile

Weight - 15.5 lbs, 50th percentile

Head - 43.5 cm, 75th percentile

We still got a big noggin. We celebrated the half year mark last night with a little cake. I attempted to treat baby girl with some icing, but she actually didn't like it.

This is another one of her new things. Morgan is getting really good at sitting up. But she is still learning how to pick things up. Last night, she wanted to pick the rattle up and put it in her mouth. She got frustrated pretty quickly. So instead of bringing the rattle to her mouth, she simply took her mouth to the rattle. She's quite limber!

DAD!!!!!

Matt was getting Morgan ready for her bath. He thought it would be funny to keep her shirt on as a hat. They both thought it was hilarious....

Morgan is also learning to sit up. We are making great progress. She's getting so strong!!

Morgan initially started laughing at Ruben, then she would laugh any time C would shake Ruben's toy. It was so cute!
